Kiln carving is the process by which a template is cut by hand into layers of ceramic fibre paper to create a mould. Glass is placed on top of the template and, when fired, it conforms to the elements and textures of this template. This glass can then be re-fired (slumped) into its final shape through the use of another mould.

Pieces of coloured and clear glass are cut, assembled and fired to create patterns. Some pieces are further embellished with sandblasting.
